Reform of private pension provision in Germany: 2026 is a key year for preparing products, processes, and sales strategies – actuview and Aeiforia support implementation
Montabaur (DE), January 12, 2026 – The planned reform in Germany of tax-privileged private pension provision marks a shift toward simpler, more transparent, and capital market-oriented pension solutions. Against this backdrop, the platform actuview and the consulting firm Aeiforia are intensifying their cooperation in order to classify the upcoming changes from a technical perspective and provide practical support.
With the draft bill from the Federal Ministry of Finance on the reform of private pension provision – scheduled to start on January 1, 2027 – providers of pension products will already be facing key decisions in 2026. This year, product concepts, cost models, IT processes, and sales and communication strategies will be prepared that will determine the success of the reform in practice.
Joint platform provides guidance for the entire market
As a professional exchange platform, actuview provides a forum for discussions on current developments in pension provision, insurance, and regulation. With the integration of Aeiforia as a platform partner, this dialogue is specifically supplemented by the perspective of practical implementation in private pension provision. The content and benefits of the joint approach are explicitly aimed at the entire market – from product providers in the insurance and finance industry and various sales and IT partners to consulting and academia to related institutions and associations.
“The reform of private pension provision is a key issue of great social relevance this year,” says Martin Oymanns, Managing Director of actuview. “It will be crucial that the new regulations are also subject to expert discussions at an early stage. I am delighted that actuview will be providing a platform for this.”
A bridge between regulation and practice
Aeiforia is the main sponsor of actuview and contributes its expertise in product design, cost structures, sales processes, and communication to the partnership. The aim is to make the effects of the reform understandable and implementable for providers, brokers, and end customers.
“The new funding opens up opportunities for a fresh start in private pension provision,” says Martin Gattung, founder and managing director of Aeiforia. “Whether this will result in a viable pension model will be decided not in 2027, but in the preparatory phase leading up to it. Products, processes, and sales strategies must be thought through together in 2026.”
With this in mind, Aeiforia will highlight key topics relating to the new private pension provision in informative video sequences for the actuview platform and demonstrate practical approaches for implementation. Access to the videos on the actuview platform will be free of charge. In addition, actuview and Aeiforia are inviting the industry to an online discussion this summer on the new private pension provision.
Conclusion
With the reform of private pension provision, the market is facing a reorientation and structural upheaval. The collaboration between actuview and Aeiforia comes at precisely the crucial preparatory stage and aims to ensure that the reform is not only decided at a regulatory level, but also implemented in a way that is practicable across the market.
