In May 2025, the IAA Sections will host its 1st event in South America, “JoCo São Paulo 2025” at the invitation of the Instituto Brasileiro de Atuária (IBA). JoCo2025 will gather IAA Section members and actuaries from Brazil and from across the world around a unique theme of “Actuaries in Sustainability”, to discuss the latest research and actuarial challenges arising from new fields of professional and academic activity as well as from traditional actuarial work, and including work and interpretations of the concept of “sustainability”.

The JoCo2025 Organizing Committee welcomes abstracts until 8 November 2024, including presentations without a supporting paper. You can submit an abstract for a presentation even if you do not intend to provide a paper for the conference. Please note that accepted authors who submit a paper will be considered for a Best Paper prize. The presentations for the program will be selected by 20 December 2024. Shortlisted speakers are requested to be available on-site for the event’s dates in order to deliver their presentation in person.

• Cyber Risk
• Digital Transformation of Insurance
• Solvency
