Meet the New Chairs of European Actuarial Associations

Since the beginning of the year, several European actuarial associations have held elections. Here’s an overview of the newly appointed leaders in the profession:

In January, Andreas Bak Jensen was appointed President of the Danish Society of Actuaries, with Caroline Calov Funch serving as Vice President.

In Norway, Mats Sollie is leading the Norwegian Actuarial Association since February, with Sandra Brannstam as Vice President.

In Belgium, the IA|BE named Nicole Verheyen as Chairperson for the current term. She represents the Dutch-speaking group, while Vice Chairperson Ludovic Theate comes from the French-speaking group.

Also in March, the Swedish Actuarial Society appointed Anders Munk as its new President.

In April, the German Association of Actuaries (DAV) elected Susanna Adelhardt as President and Dr. Jürgen Bierbaum as Vice President for a two-year term. The DAV’s scientific partner organization, the DGVFM, appointed Prof. Dr. Jan-Philipp Schmidt as Chairperson, with Prof. Dr. An Chen and Prof. Dr. Marcus C. Christiansen serving as Vice Chairpersons.

In Portugal, the Instituto dos Actuários Portugueses elected Abraham Ernesto Hernández Pacheco as its new President.
