Theme: Actuarial Intelligence: Where Ethics Meets Expertise  

The actuarial profession has always stood at the intersection of rigorous analysis and human purpose. Today, that intersection is more critical than ever. As AI reshapes industries at a breathtaking pace, actuaries face a defining question: how do we harness the power of algorithms while keeping humans at the centre of everything we do? That’s the challenge — and the opportunity — at the heart of the 3rd Joint Colloquium of the IAA Sections (JoCo), hosted by the IAA Sections and the Institut Luxembourgeois des Actuaires (ILAC).

We invite actuaries, data scientists, and academics to submit abstracts on topics that shape our profession in an AI-driven world, including:  

• Ethical AI and algorithmic fairness  
• Reducing protection gaps with AI-based solutions

• Expert judgement in the age of machine learning  
• The evolving societal role of actuaries
