In an exciting development for Ecuador’s academic and professional landscape, the country’s first Master of Actuarial Sciences program has been launched, marking a significant milestone. The program is the result of collaboration between Escuela Politécnica Nacional, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, and Milliman Financial Risk Management, supported by the UNDP-Milliman Global Actuarial Initiative (GAIN) and the Ecuadorian Association of Actuaries (AEACT).

The program will offer specialized training in Actuarial Sciences to 20 students, who will have the opportunity to obtain a Master’s degree with modules focussing on Private Insurance, Risk Management or Social Security. This initiative aims to strengthen the actuarial and insurance sectors in Ecuador, contributing to the country’s economic resilience and risk management capabilities.
