Following the 50th General Assembly held on 11 October 2024, Jette Lunding Sandqvist of Denmark was re-elected to continue serving as a member of the AAE Board until October 2027. Jette originally joined the AAE Board of Directors in January 2023 and is now eligible to serve an additional three-year term.

Birgit Kaiser, one of the DAV´s Executive Managers, has been elected as the new Chair of the AAE Professionalism Committee, succeeding Christophe Heck from Switzerland. Birgit, who has held the role of vice-chair for the past six years, will serve her first term as Chair until October 2027, with the option to continue for a second and final three-year term. Rafael Moreno Ruiz of Spain has been elected as Chair of the AAE Education Committee, taking over from Henning Wergen of Germany. Like Birgit, Rafael has also served as vice-chair for six years. His first term as Chair will extend until October 2027, with the possibility of continuing for a second three-year term.

Finally, Eugenija Bieliauskiené of Lithuania and Wilhelm Schneemeier of Germany were elected as members of the AAE Nominations Panel. They will succeed Jana Zelinkova from the Czech Republic and Maitane Mancebo from Spain. The AAE wishes to thank those leaving for their dedicated commitment in recent years and wishes all elected members every success in their new or extended roles.
