Introductory Webinar to ASTIN Masterclasses on 26 June 2024

May 23, 2024

ASTIN masterclasses are a series of online courses on a wide range of non-life insurance topics taught by the greatest minds of the actuarial profession and renowned authorities on risk and insurance. They cover topics from key areas of interest such as financial stability and enterprise risk management, regulatory changes, data science and artificial intelligence in insurance, climate change and catastrophe risk, cyber risk, and InsurTech and disruptive technologies.

The first two in-depth courses featured “Model Risk Management – The Quest for a Unifying Approach” by Andrew Smith of University College Dublin, and „The Insurance-Risk Landscape: An Eclectic Survey” written and narrated by Professor Michael R. Powers of Tsinghua University.

During the live-webinar on June 26 (taking place at 10.00 or 18.00 CEST for your convenience), Michael R. Powers will preview the first episode in his 8-part series and then delve further into the main take-aways covered throughout the Masterclass, such as: underwriting model risk, reserving model risk, investment model risk, and model risk management processes. The session is free of charge and will close with a Q&A session for the audience. If you work in Risk Management, you should attend this webinar (places are limited) – register now!

All members of the ASTIN Section have free access to the whole Masterclass courses. Learn more about the ASTIN-Masterclasses here and  join ASTIN on the IAA’s website.
