Description:
The actuarial world is changing quite rapidly, tasks and responsibilities are becoming more and more diverse and specialised. This needs to be reflected in the way the actuarial qualification is set up. The German Association of Actuaries (DAV) is the central qualifying institution in Germany in all fields of actuarial practise. As a full member association, the DAV is bound to the standards of IAA and AAE when it comes to education.
In recent years the DAV has initiated different project steps to further develop, improve and make the education and examination route to become an actuary in Germany more flexible – and in this sense, fit for future.
In this talk we want to showcase what we have done since 2018, what worked and what did not work. We also want to present some potential developments for the years to come.
