The Swedish Actuarial Association was founded in 1904 and the purpose is primarily to work for the promotion of actuarial activities and to provide its members with the opportunity to meet for the exchange of thoughts and opinions on actuarial matters or on other matters of common interest. The association has about 6 member meetings per year and each time a current topic is discussed.
