Elections and appointments in the actuarial world

In the first quarter of the year, many actuarial associations around the world held elections for their professional bodies, committees and boards.

Firstly, the International Actuarial Association (IAA) has announced that, at its meeting in Marrakesh, Morocco, the Council of the IAA approved Mike Lombardi (USA) as President and Maximillian Happacher (Germany) as President-Elect. Their terms of office are for one year, ending on December 31, 2026. Also, the Institute of Actuaries in Australia has appointed Scott Reeves as President. Lastly, in March, the Society of Actuaries (SOA) announced Clar Rosso as their new chief executive officer (CEO)
