DGVFM CPD Day on March 28, 2023
The 13th DGVFM Training Day took place on March 28, 2023 on the topic of „Inflation“.
As German inflation hits a 70-year high, experts in financial and insurance mathematics are called to the plan in order find solutions for the questions this crisis has raised. Even the European Central Bank struggles with the dilemma this situation entails: either enabling cheap credit or raising the prime rate. In order to understand the implications of this crisis on our field, we have invited three speakers to look at potential inflation hedging instruments, inflation’s impact on nominal rates, and its effect on pension systems both in Germany and in neighboring countries.
